it's september of '94, and a rap battle in downtown los angeles is in full swing. despite having ditched his friends for the opportunity on his birthday, the budding artist finds himself in a sticky situation. hence the lives of two lost souls, him and his saviour, become one in their purpose of leading the people;

a boy who doesn't know if he is a kim namjoon or a roman kim, if he could ever be a rapper if he isn't a ramone, or if he could keep his family name if he somehow did.

a girl who is trying to fight for an impoverished community that is fighting her femininity, and fighting itself - just as their oppressors want them to be.

as they find each other and learn each other's philosophies, as they find themselves and their identities, they will have to come to a decision.
