After suffering from Vrolik Syndrome as a kid, unable to deal with seeing their son in pain at the mere touch of a finger, Y/n's parents opted for experimental surgery resulting in the young boy's body being cybernetically augmented.

Upon waking from the surgery, Y/n resented his parents for not even consulting him in the matter and ultimately severed ties and moved to Japan without a goodbye to find some meaning in his life.
