Quiet and peaceful in her ruin of cobble and stone, Beryl raised Dandelion for the genteel lifestyle, after all, she wanted a life that outside the slums, outside of Meteor City for her adopted daughter. But Beryl had a secret. At night, under the harassment and taunts of the Silken Tigers, her eyes glow red, and her hands shed blood. Then, the Phantom Troupe found her. Dandelion, faced with the carnage and destruction brought onto her life by the Troupe, finally understands the meaning of Meteor City's motto: "We'll accept anything you leave here, but don't ever take anything away from us."
