Description
We (humans) are born knowing what will happen in our lives up until age 20. There are very few who don't know and go through life never knowing. These people are considered Blind and for whatever reason, they can't see their future. There are a handful that can see their future their whole lives and even fewer who can see their whole life in terrifying clarity AND the people they are close to. These people who can see everything can be told apart from everyone else by one characteristic: their rainbow coloured eyes. They are known as the Seers. When the Red Moon approaches, everyone, whether you're Blind or not, is racked with visions they don't want. Everyone sees the same thing and it is always something horrific. Visions of blood shed, starvation, insanity, chaos, the Apocalypse, and things thought to be impossible are among the many things seen. The doctors tend to be doing so many tests on the Blind that they never get to find out WHAT is so different about them that causes them to be Blind. But not Emily, she wants a normal life. She wants to find out what's wrong with her. Or maybe she isn't the messed up one. Maybe everyone else is. What is the truth behind being Blind? Is it possible they do so many tests to these people so that they won't find out the horrible, shocking truth?
