Description
Nicolette Casey is busted by fast-lane living before visiting Aspen-Acres ranch. She was going to cope with horseback rides and lake fishing. By chance, Kevin Locklear works as a ranch-hand at Aspen-Acres. Him and whiskey chased Nicolette from her small hometown the first time. Something about Kevin is less manic now and, somehow, that's worse. At least before Nicolette could read him. With Kevin converting to a more introverted role she doesn't understand why he's suddenly so quietly perplexing. Situations muddle worse once she meets Chevy Fitch, a pragmatic rebel who impassions her like a vexing snake flute. Tragedy strikes when other ranch houses are targeted by a ruthless arsonist, threatening Aspen-Acres. Nicolette doesn't have a choice then -- to either confide in Kevin in search of the culprit, trust Chevy despite his shady past, or lose the ranch forever.
