In the shadow of the French revolution, Henri hides his childhood friend Nadine from execution, putting his own life and of his family into danger.

Ripped out of the world she knew, Nadine has to find her new identity in a place that wants to see her head roll.

Noel's goals are simple. To earn enough money for him and his brother to survive, and to bring down the centuries-old monarchy that had suppressed the people for much too long.

This character-driven tale is about family, romance, identity and a changing world.
