Description
Adonis is a young woman forced to play the role of a young man in order to work for her father's company once she graduates. Her half brother does everything he can tarnish her reputation, going as far as to send letters to popular boys at their private school asking to have their children and signing her name at the bottom. This only results in homophobic attacts against her. But that is only half of her worries. The real trouble is that she has been chosen to play in the Relar game. It is the hunger games before the hunger games. It is where students bet their life to complete quests, gain money and reputation. But most importantly, it's a game where killing is legal. Besides the game, there are also people that give that make her head ache. There is Deo Angelos, a boy who keeps calling her weak and feminine, yet continues to fight alongside her. And her friend, Jonas, who continues to make passes at her despite her identity as a boy, and she gets the strange feeling that he knows more about her than she would like him to. Lastly, there is Cal, dear old Cal, who looks after her. First it was his job, but in the Relar games Cal is free to do as he wants, yet he chooses to stay by her. The stakes are high, and this year games will have the highest death casualty so far. Will Adonis and her friends be able to survive to the end? Or will they die trying?
