Chapter One

He makes me feverish. He makes me sweat. He reminds me, I'm not human and I never will be. He brings out the carnal side of my species. He doesn't even know I exist. He's my half.

Every time he walks in the room, his smell invades my nostrils and I'm doped up and can't focus in anything but him. He's dangerous to me. He tests my control and my resolve. If he were to drop dead right now, so would I. We could be in love, I could get used to him so I can learn how to control myself.

It's a pity I don't believe in fairytales.
