Chapter 1: Sherlock Holmes

Sherlock is a girl's name, so it's perfectly realistic for a girl to be named Sherlock. And let's pretend her last name just so happens to be Holmes. And at that point, you may as well as change a few more things up.

All Joanne Watson ever wanted was to be adopted, and when the generous Mrs. Hudson gives her that opportunity, she's excited. She's ready to return to civilian life after being a war brat for so many years. But what she doesn't know, is that, despite running away from the war, the war followed her here. That war is Sherlock Holmes.
