Hands of gold

He stood in the doorway. He always used his authority to get what he wanted and right now, what he wanted was me.

"Come here Isle."

My eyes never left the book I was reading. If I was going to survive I was going to learn how to ignore his tactics.

My hands trembled in fear as I left my book, my only source of joy, to walk into the arms of the devil.
