Balance in Ninjago is at stake when Silver and Minakae, two of many descendants, recieve pendants for their shared birthday. Seeking the power within the pendants, a dark force possesses Leo, Minakae's crush, and kills and Silver's mother. Their quest to free Leo takes them back in time 34 years, to the time the first Ninjago saga started. They start to meet new people as they try and find their way to a happier life.
