Chapter 1: The Move

Soleil Thompson and her family have just moved to a small, sleepy town in central Pennsylvania. Though she struggles to adapt like any other teen, she quickly embraces her new life in Crossroads. She befriends Amelia Bennett, who takes Soleil under her wing. Amelia's large family welcomes her warmly into their home and lives, for which Soleil is grateful since her own parents are cold and distant. Amelia's father, Thomas Bennett, grows especially fond of Soleil; can she battle her inappropriate feelings for a man twice her age or will she fall victim to his charm? Soleil will soon learn that even if a secret can be kept, damage control will always be unachievable.
