The Crimson Guard hunt the streets for magic users just like Asha, people society will forget when they go missing. They take them in the night and then they're gone forever. Asha, as a healer, would be the crowning jewel to their collection.
Joan is a runaway who owes his freedom to Asha. He'll do anything necessary, even make a deal with the devil, to keep her safe.
