The Runner ( A Newsies fanfic)

14 year old Esther has a dark past. All her life she's been running from it. When she was ten, she ran away from her orphanage and has been living on the streets ever since. She's trying to find work so she can support her little brother, whose graduation from the orphanage lingers nearer, but one day she steals an apple from the wrong person in Brooklyn, so she of course runs away to Manhattan where she secretly becomes a newsie. There she gets the family she's always dreamed of, but as her past comes closer and closer, will she finally face it and her mistakes or will she just keep running?
