"I've spent too many years letting myself be unhappy when the answer was right there in front of me," I shook my head, remembering all the lonely or heartbroken nights that had happened in the years I had known Greg. "I love you. You don't have to feel the same way or say it back, I didn't say it for a response. I told you because I'm tired of keeping it in."

Greg grinned and pulled me close, bringing his lips to mine. "I love you too, Ell."
