What do you accomplish by constantly causing trouble?” I stare down at the patch of grass under my feet before I look back up, making sure to make eye contact with his grey orbs. “The same reason why you fight and always act like you have a chip on your shoulder.” His eyes pinch before he cracks a smile. “Touché.” He says before joining me on the bench. Joy Johnson has had anything but joy in most of her life. Her mother, a raging crack addict, dropped her at Saint Mary's Orphanage five years ago and never looked back.
