Dark things are all around us but Esmeralda a sixteen year old spunky teenager never thought that darkness could be descending over her, let alone her small town of El.Paso where it's only one degree colder than hell. Nor did she ever believe that one single encounter could prove her whole life a fake. That in one day her past, present, and future could burn and turn to ashes leaving her utterly confused and full of questions unanswered.
