A Semi-biographical snapshot of three decades of turmoil as The Author, son of middle-class doctors, spends his formative years navigating the changing politics of Venezuela, his relationship with religion, sex, and the prospect of leaving everything behind to save his life. ***** When President Chavez took power in 1998, nobody could have imagined the lasting damage his revolution would cause. Now, with all his friends living abroad, in jail in charges of dissidence, or as miserable as he is, a socially awkward boy has a decision to make: to emigrate like millions of Venezuelans before him to find a better life elsewhere, or stay to take care of his elderly parents, thus sealing his future for good. The choice will take him to evaluate his life, his relationship with his family, friends, and the pursuit of human connection in an increasingly depleting city. This is a semi-biographical story.
