Prologue

Lacey Todd is a confused eighteen year old girl. She was kidnapped at the age of four. She had been beaten, lied to, and raped. She thought that was normal. She had been hidden away from the world. When she is finally saved, she does not want to go back to her real family. She blamed them for every thing she went through.

Lacey moves out to New York to get away from the press, and to finally start her life. She pushes everyone she encounters away, until she meets Luke Hemmings. He hears her story and tries to reach out to her-- multiple times. Lacey is stubborn and she isn't about to give in so easily. As soon as she lets Luke into her life, there's no turning back.
