It was a little over two years before their deaths. Hiruzen was then my guardian. After I was caught secretly training, I was the officially trained. Though, I never stepped foot in the academy. I left the village shortly after my 16th birthday, training under Minato's Sensei, Master Jiraiya. Then, at the age of 19, I was on my own. Traveling and doing odd jobs for money.
