This is a spin-off of my own story Unexpected.

It takes place right as the Character, Nina, is asked to help Thor. It coincides with the events of Ragnarok.

In this AU, Nina never had any sort of romantic attachment with James Buchanan Barnes. She loved Loki, and was heartbroken when he 'died'.
