She was just told that she only has a few more weeks to live, so she decides to travel to mexico (the only place she has never traveled to). She arrives and is immediately kidnapped. She's not scared that they are going to kill her because she is going to die anyway, she s afraid of the fun and enjoyment of mexico that they are going to take away from her last weeks to live.
