After the tragedy of The Rise of Skywalker, Rey was left alone with BB-8, unaware of what was growing inside her.

Two of the most powerful twins in all the Galaxy were born one lonely morning. Rey was alone, and for most of the pregnancy, unaware of it even existing, or how it happened.

Rey named the two children, one boy Kai, and one girl Anni. The two were destined to keep the force balanced for years to come.

But destiny doesn't always work out as planned.
