Chapter 1: 13-Kimani

Kimani and Jade have been friends since middle school. They're an unlikely pairing nonetheless. Jade is the cliche popular girl in school complete with cheer squad enrollment and an A List boy on her arm at all times. Kimani is the nerd-jock whose love for science competes with her love for sports, most importantly surfing. Nevertheless, their friendship continues to maintain and evolve as the years go by. Every birthday they take turns answering a single question: if you could do anything at this moment...what would it be? As the years go by each answer reveals more on their growth and changes as they grow up as well as the possibility that they may have something much deeper than a simple friendship.
