Enter the Assassin

Calira is a government-sanctioned assassin. Trained her entire life to live in the shadows, she is but a name to most everyone but a select few: the King of Venta and the Crown Prince. However when the aging king is bedridden with an illness, he reveals a secret so shocking it shakes Calira to her core.

She was born a princess.

The king's last wish is for Calira to fulfill her rightful place and to do so without any questioning would require her to fill a contract her parents signed at her birth. She'd have to marry the Crown Prince, whom she despises.

How will Calira handle being thrust into the limelight as she's surrounded by vain courtiers, unhappy princes, and dangerous assassins?
