He never forgot the saying of Eubie Blake "Never trust anyone who wants what you've got. Friend or no, envy is an overwhelming emotion." But he never focused on the saying's real meaning or maybe he just took the easy way and ignored it?

When he realized that he'd been deeply betrayed, fear really hit him. That's what he had felt first. And then it was anger and frustration. Then disappointment and disilussionment.

He just simply knew he couldn't trust anyone anymore although he knew he would live in torment if he didn't trust enough.

He'd always thought the life of a person is a land full of thrones and weeds, although there is always a space in which the good seed can grow.
