Tally doesn't remember much after running away at the age of thirteen and travelling around the world. When she finds a mysterious island that no one has ever seen before out in the middle of the Pacific ocean, she decides to call it home, the only one she ever really had.
When America finds her - which takes a turn for the better and worse - her memory begins returning in full swing. What lies in her past? What lies in her future?
In a telling of both history and the future, no one is sure what will happen when Tally, now Thalassa, becomes determined to become a country herself.
