The story follows 17-year-old Eleanor, a werewolf who was torn away from her family after a devastating vampire attack. Forced to work in the mines, Eleanor's life takes a surprising turn when she is hired as a maid in the household of the powerful vampire Lilith.

At first, Eleanor dislikes Lilith and the entire vampire race, but as she gets to know Lilith, she begins to see a different side to the vampiric leader. Despite the danger of their forbidden relationship, Eleanor finds herself falling for Lilith and must navigate the challenges and prejudices of a world where their love is not accepted.
