Prologue

Novaleigh Morte was born into the Hunters lifestyle. Just as her name suggests-her family has all had terrible deaths. Hunting means your not supposed to get attached to people. Getting attached to people means creating weaknesses that could be used against you . However she couldn't force herself to not care about Bobby Singer. She couldn't force herself to not treasure her relationship with Gabriel. She couldn't turn away Castiel when he wondered if she was okay. She couldn't stop the protective feeling she gets when she's around Sam Winchester. There was nothing in the world that could change how much she loves Dean Winchester. She couldn't change the way she felt but she could pray that nobody she loved would get hurt because of her.
