Haymitch protects Katniss in the games, everyone thinks it's because Peeta asked him to, but what if that's not the reason? Then, what was the reason? I know, I'm the reason. It started in the Second Quarter Quell. Peeta and Katniss weren't the first star crossed lovers, just the first to both survive or at l least that's what people were lead to believe.
