Just before Dio came into the picture, it had been about 5 months since she had been adopted into the Joestars. Her parents weren't rich, so she's of the lower class. They both died in a robbery attempt when they caught the man, so in a panic when they wouldn't give up the money, he stabbed them. Yelling and screaming was involved. Now, Y/n was in the house, so she's forever been traumatized of loud noises in fear of something happening. She's squeamish so she doesn't like gore too much. Not right now anyway.
