"Can I tell you something?" I nod, putting a hand behind my head. She chews on her bottom lip momentarily, looking away briefly before our eyes met again.

"I, um... I know who killed Jed," she says. I sit up, looking at her with wide eyes. "Who? Who are they? When I get my hands on them, I swear-," she cuts me off with the most surprising three words.

"It was me."
