The Sun has been keeping Earth and all who inhabit it alive for several years, but when it finally goes out, there is only one person who can save the planet: Pete Olsen, an orphan and an unlikely hero, who is struggling to survive on his own. With his eighteenth birthday only twelve days away, he must leave his apartment in Chicago for a secret world in the clouds. With the help of his canine friend, Jack, and a stubborn princess from the secret world above, Pete must find the hidden ORBs before his birthday, or else watch both worlds freeze and crumble.
