Prologue

Britta Dubois is not human. That much can be seen as certain.

Despite her outward appearance as a child of no more than nine years, her true age is unknown to anyone but herself. Her parents are a mystery, her past is a mystery, and to trust her would be a mistake.

But Britta Dubois has a certain wish that she won't allow anyone to get in the way of... No matter what.
