They told us that we were nothing.
That we were an abomination.
Monsters.
A waste of space and air.
Because we were different.
Starved, tortured, murdered, day after day, we were left to rot in our own skin. And I thought my world would cripple into nothing, that I would perish without even having existed, just like the rest of my kind.

That is, until I saw him.

"Shayna," his voice was soft, just as I remembered it.

And that was all it took to keep me alive.
For me to strive for survival.
For me to pick up a gun, and fight.
