Update

He sits down next to me, his eyes fixed on mine and my heart is probably twenty times faster than it should be.
"Are you serious?" He asks, leaning forward to rest his arms on his knees.
"Yes," I breathe, "I am."
"Then you have to promise me something," Dylan's eyes travel down to my lips and back up to my eyes before he continues, "I want you to leave me behind if the plan won't work out."
