Day after day, she stopped texting me, she stopped laughing, and at one point, stopped talking altogether. Her mom thought it was just a phase, saying it would pass. But it all came down to one thing: the voices. They were her companions, Kaylie had told me before going completely mute. They kept her company when no one else would. I was hoping she would see past it. But then she went missing. And it was already too late for him. But what about me? I'd been blamed for Kaylie's disappearance AND his insanity and I was starting to blame myself for it too.
