Deja Morrell was living in the hood. Her daddy living his best life in another state, completely forgetting about Deja, her two sisters and three brothers. Her momma got her own mess, so Deja gotta make it work. She got a job at a salon that pays good enough for her to pay bills, buy food, and go to college.

But, it wasn't enough. Deja could only do so much, being only 19, and taking care of five others besides herself. She's about to give up when she meets Jordan, a thug who promises to help and change her life. But, Deja's insecurites cause her to hold back on him, but he doesn't give up on her.
