Prologue

Brandissa Caulfield is tough, independent, and an undercover agent for the government's anti-terrorism unit. She has never bowed to anyone. Ever.

When her parents are kidnapped, the man holding them threatens to kill them unless she steals a program from a civilian programmer. The programmer, Treavor Davis, seems to make things all too easy for her by leaving his balcony door open. She discovers that he's not as oblivious to her invasion as she believed.

Treavor would be thrilled if Brandi got the hell out of his life for good. He doesn't need distractions, especially from a woman who makes him feel. Emotions destroy and he has no use for them.
They must learn to work together to discover the secret behind who has taken her parents.
