The year was 1957, so, of course the oppression against women was a big thing in society.

After a toxic relationship, Ayena's self esteem and trust for men is practically non-existent. Ayena meets a wonderful guy named James Oliver but she can't fully commit because of her ex, Cisco Hernandez. James tries to win over Ayena's heart, and won't stop until she's his forever.
