Dear Reader, Miviram, the kingdom of dance. The kingdom of literature...poetry and expression. The kingdom of music. The home to the artistic, to the unique, to the free. A kingdom run by the people. Then DeStefani came into power. The first Statute of Miviram outlawed all poetry. The second Statute of Miviram outlawed all singing. The third Statute of Miviram outlawed music and expression all together. The Restrictions, as the three laws are called by our people, became the downfall of Miviramian culture. My entire Kingdom...robbed of its voice. As a child I was always told that you cannot start a song without someone opening their mouth. I am Cordetta. I am fifteen years old.
