Sonic and Shadow are happy together as a couple. Their roles in their relationship are set; Shadow is the dominant one and Sonic the submissive one. But Sonic wants to show his boyfriend he isn't so submissive as Shadow thinks he is. But whenever Sonic tries to, Shadow shows him his rightful place. Though, this doesn't stop Sonic to keep trying since he has a bet to win.
