Hal Miller has finally settled down after years of drifting from place to place to stop people from finding out that his name is false and his past is invented. But when two people from the life he thought he’d left behind turn up on his doorstep, demanding repayment for a seven-year old debt he didn’t even know he had, he has no choice but allow them to drag him into their world.

In the beautiful city of Paris, Hal is soon caught in a world of chaos and conspiracies, secret societies and séances, mayhem and murder and he starts to wonder if he'll make it out alive.
