Chapter 1

Melanie has a dark truth that she feels she can share with no one. It's her boyfriend, Doug, although technically the secret isn't really him it's what he does and it is tearing everything away from her; her friends, her sanity, and possibly even her life. Soon there will be nothing and no one left to protect her. Everyone is telling her to leave him, can she do it? Will her fear get in her way? Or will she die trying?
