Cress is an assassin. Always looking for jobs to take on. Getting used. By then she has learned that she can't trust anyone, maybe not even herself. As a result, her heart is cold and the feelings of happiness and joy have left her.
But when she happens to take on a job that involves spying on the second prince of Clarines, she discovers wholehearted people who teach her that it's okay to trust. She finds herself growing closer to them. And maybe she finds someone extra special to her... ;)
