Prologue

"He broke my heart into a million little pieces" she sighed.
"What did you do about it?" I knew I was prying but I couldn't help myself.

"I picked up the pieces and threw them away. After that I got my shit together, got my education and built a name for myself. Months later I saw him again at a club in Jersey." She stayed quiet for a while but I wanted to know more. I needed to. If I was ever gonna know her darkest secrets and gain her trust, I needed to pry.
