Chapter 1

Savannah Knight is a retired mortician with great plans to become a paranormal author. On her first day of retirement, she heads to the local library to start her new career as an aspiring author. But shortly after her first research session, everyone is urged to hide in a conference room because there is an active shooter situation, forcing Savannah to fear for her own life and deal with people actively dying in front of her eyes--something she's never had real experience with. Between scenes with the active shooter situation, Savannah flashbacks to all the suicide victims she worked on her career.
