Chapter one: death

Lucas was murdered. His throat was slit open and he was left to bleed out in the middle of the alley way before some random citizen found his body. He had been dead for five days, until with a gasp his eyes opened and his limbs started gaining strength again. Wasn't he dead? Why is he moving? What's going on?
