In the swamps of New Orleans, a young daughter of the witch doctor Doctor Facilier lives in a shack far outside the bustling city. Searching for power and a way to bring her mother back, her father now gone from an exchange gone wrong with the other side. A note suddenly appears that could change her life forever offering a royal sacrifice to pay for help they had previously received. Can she bring herself to kill him?
