In a world where every girl is assigned a Soulmate, 18-year-old Lana Quinn falls in love with a guy names Dan Smith. Despite the 10-year age gap he soon becomes her boyfriend. They fit together perfectly and almost everybody is certain that they will become Soulmates.

When Lana turns 20, she is assigned a Soulmate. To her great horror, it is not her boyfriend's name she finds in the envelope. Maybe they are not meant for each other after all...?
